Advent Giving Tree
We are partnering up with Item Santa and Catholic Charities this Advent season!
Item Santa and Catholic Charities will send us gift requests by children in need living in Lynn. We will make tags per gift request and hang on our Advent Giving Trees, which are up during the Advent season at St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart. The donated gifts, which are unwrapped with tag attached, will be delivered to the two agencies to distribute to families. We will also hang tags for gift cards for pharmacies and grocery stores to give to our St. Vincent de Paul Conferences to distribute.
Collaborative Fair Committee
At this time we have two Fair Committees, one at St. Mary's and one at Sacred Heart. Both take place in the Fall. Many people are needed to make our Fairs a success. Come join the fun in planning our fairs and festivals! Information for Fair meetings and events will be on our Collaborative bulletin.

Justice & Peace Committee
This group is oriented to issues of Justice and Peace both locally and globally and their impact on our community and our response to them. Members of this group use their gifts of citizenship to write to members of State, Federal and Local government officials about legislation that has an impact on Catholic Social Teaching. They also offer and promote educational and spiritual programs that empower and enrich our parishioners to become people who work for justice for all.
“If Christians want to live and love in a Christ-like way, they must be committed to helping others realize their potential. That is what love does: it helps others to thrive as human beings.”
--Pedro Arrupe, SJ
Lynn Catholic Collaborative
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Collaborative Office, located at 8 South Common Street in Lynn, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Many of the crafters do their work at home, and then bring their shawls to the meeting so that the group can pray over them. Drop in and learn about this most rewarding ministry. You might consider this a unique way to serve as the hands of Christ, reaching out as he did.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
Serving Those in Need
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person services to the needy and suffering, in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul. As a reflection of the whole family of God, members, who are known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group and economic level. Vincentians are united in an international society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings and adherence to a basic Rule. Organized locally, Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served, because in them Vincentians see the face of Christ.
Please do not forget to place your offering in the boxes in the Churches and Chapel. Your support goes a long way in our efforts to assist those most in need in our community. We also extend a word of sincere thanks to the men and women who comprise the St. Mary’s Conference and Sacred Heart Conference of St. Vincent de Paul Society. We truly appreciate all your efforts on behalf of those in need.
"You are the light of the world. In the same way your light must shine before others, so that they may see the good you do and praise your Father in heaven."
--Matthew 5:14, 16
St. Mary Conference
Sacred Heart Conference
This group provides our Collaborative parishioners an opportunity to have a real and needed impact on the many families that we welcome to St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart each year. Our goal is to help people who are new to the Collaborative adjust to their new community and participate more fully in the life of the parish. Whether you have just a little time available or a lot, there will be a role for you. You can help research resources in the community, assist someone with understanding how to get around Lynn, provide transportation to an appointment, help a family find furniture, or just be a good listener.
