25/26 Preparation for Grades 6-8 There will be three parts to preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation: 1. The first and most important expectation is participating in the weekend Masses with our parish community. By coming to Mass we have the opportunity to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ by hearing His Word and receiving His Body and Blood in the Eucharist, as well as by growing in our relationship with the other Catholic Christians that we are praying with. We have several Masses each weekend (Click HERE for the Mass schedule) to meet everyone's schedule. 2. The second expectation is participation in our parish community events and activities. Being a part of a parish community is more than only coming to Mass. We have a variety of events throughout the year including monthly Disciples in Motion activities, our annual Advent Concert during the Advent season and Mardi Gras Party before Lent starts, Stations of the Cross during lent and Living Stations on Good Friday. 3. The third expectation is attendance and participation in our preparation meetings: We will meet on only nine Friday evenings from 6-7:30pm in St. Mary's Hall, where we will discuss the Holy Spirit, our relationship with Jesus Christ, and the Sacrament of Confirmation. While everyone has busy schedules, we have found that Friday evenings are best for middle schoolers and families.
Here are the dates for the 25/26 school year - October 17th - November 4th and 21st - December 5th - January 19th and 23rd - February 6th and 13th - May 1st.
