Grand Annual Collection

Last year we introduced the My Church, My Home Campaign in our parish. The idea of this campaign was for all of us to look at our sacrificial giving and what we can offer financially to our parish. Our focus was to pay off our parish loans, and we were successful in our goal. This was accomplished in three ways. First, we asked people to look at their weekly offering and prayerfully consider if they can give more to the parish. Second, we started a drive to raise $100,000 to give us the funds needed to make the payments on the parish loans for the fiscal year. Finally, we looked at property to be sold and were successful in selling the empty convent building. This allowed us to pay off the parish loans and have money left over to place in parish reserves. All of this was due to your prayers and generosity. Because of the success of the My Church, My Home Campaign the parish is in good financial condition.

This year we continue the campaign in a simpler way. We are once again asking each of our parishioners to carefully consider two things. First, we ask you again to prayerfully consider your weekly contribution to the parish and reflect upon whether you can increase your gift. We are called to support our church with our time, talent, and treasure, and a check-up on our financial contributions is important to help sustain our ministries.

Second, we ask that you prayerfully consider contributing to our Grand Annual Collection. Our goal for this year’s Grand Annual is $25,000. This goal is very much attainable if each family contributes to the collection. All monies received in this collection are retained by the parish and go to the operating budget of the parish. We ask that you make your pledge and/or donation anytime between now and the end of October. Envelopes will be in your October envelope packet, or you may pick one up at the doors of the churches.
